Genoveva (Genie) Sublett was born January 3, 1931 in Waialua, Hawaii. She worked at Pinkerton Guard in Lompoc and food service of twenty years in Hawaii. Genie was loved by everyone that knew her. Our mom’s heart was bigger than her numerous years battling an illness. Angels came and escorted mom home on August 7, 2012. She is survived by long time companion James Ratchford; children, Jason Wong, Paula (Ralph) Sheldon, Debbie Wong, Cora (Doyo) Valmoja(deceased), Calvin (Pat) Wong Jr., Arthur Wong, Rose (Wes) Weaver, Tavia (Mike) Despres, Clavence (Sara) Wong; brothers, Moses Galbiso, Robert (Nona) Galbiso; 27 nieces and nephews, 23 grandchildren, and 45 great-grandchildren. Genie was preceded in death by sister Josephine Gumban and brother Frank Galbiso Visitation will be held at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary on Sunday, August 12 from 4pm-8pm. Genies final resting place will be in Oaha, Hawaii at a later date.
