Alan David Probst passed away Monday, September 28th after a 3 and a half year battle with cancer and with his family by his side.
Alan is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Karen Probst; daughter Lauren Sparks and son-in-law David Sparks of Phoenix, Arizona; son David Probst of Lompoc; son Anthony Probst of Lompoc. Alan also was survived by his brother Ray Probst Texas; niece Leah Medders of Texas; nephew Chance Medders of Texas; niece Erin Conley of Washington, and father and mother-in-law Richard and Jennifer Barlow of Lompoc. Alan was preceded in death by his father Herman Probst, mother Grace Probst, brother Bruce Probst, and sister Jan Leeper.
Alan was a loving husband devoted to his family. Alan was a member of the Knights of Columbus and active in his Church, Queen of Angles. He loved playing golf and was an avid football fan.
The visitation will be on Monday October 5th in the chapel of the Starbuck-Lind Mortuary from 4 to 8 pm with a Rosary beginning at 5pm. The funeral for Alan will be held at Queen of Angles Church in Lompoc, California on Tuesday, October 6th at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
