Aleshia Gayle Valrie, 49, passed away Friday, September 7, 2012, in Lompoc, California. Aleshia was born December 7, 1962, at Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico, to Rubye and Ernest Fritz.

Aleshia and her family moved to Lompoc in April 1967 where she remained until relocating to Las Vegas, Nevada, seven months ago.

After completing school she found a passion for cooking and was employed by Denny's Restaurant and as a chef at the Chumash Casino in Santa Ynez. Aleshia was best known for her beautiful smile, outgoing personality, her love of bold colors, outlandish jewelry and shoes and most importantly speaking her mind.

Aleshia was known to all for her generosity, selflessness and loving heart. She touched all who knew her! Her greatest reward was being a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Aleshia is survived by her husband of 21 years, James, his children James Andre Valrie, Jr., Kandice Valrie and Khristiana, her parents Rubye and Ernest Fritz of Lompoc, her children Juan Fritz (Naomi) of Lompoc, LaBarron Reynolds of Las Vegas, Shantell Fritz of Las Vegas, DeAndre Valrie of Lompoc, La Barron and La Monte Reynolds of Las Vegas, her grandchildren Syrie Gonzales, Shemar Fritz and Ta Sean Fritz, her sisters Neena Fritz and Junia Richardson (Eugene) both of Lompoc, her brother Roggie Fritz of New Mexico and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Mary Harper, her grandfather Harlee Maddox, brothers Malcolm and Kenny Ray Blake, and a sister Stephanie Fritz.

The memorial service will be on Saturday, September 15, 2012, at 1 pm in the chapel of the Starbuck-Lind Mortuary.
