Alexander Augustine Echevarria of Lompoc died Tuesday, September 1, 2015, at the age of 51.

Alex was born May 22, 1964, in Santa Barbara to Ruben and Jennie Echevarria. He attended Carpinteria and Santa Barbara High Schools. He was previously employed by Sunshine Roofing Construction Company. Formerly of Santa Barbara he has been a resident of Lompoc since 2006.

Alex attended Trinity Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed a small group Bible study sponsored by Church for Life in Lompoc. He was a Raiders fan and enjoyed spending time with his family, listening to music, riding his bicycle, and spending time with his mother shopping or sitting at surf Beach.

Alex is survived by his mother Jennie Echevarria, his fiancée Sylvia Garcia, his son Daniel A. Echevarria and Daughter Deborah A. Echevarria all of Lompoc; his brother Angel E. Echevarria of Santa Maria; his sister Angelina Garcia of Santa Maria; his sister Alicia Echevarria of Lompoc, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Ruben in 1991 and his brother Tony in 1992.

Services will be 2 pm Sunday, September 13, 2015 at the chapel of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the mortuary. Cremation will be followed by private inurnment.
