Alice M. Breen (nee Avalos) was born January 16, 1933 in Torrance, California and moved to Lompoc as a very young child. She was one of ten siblings. Alice was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Edward J. Breen, retired as a City of Lompoc employee. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Peter Avalos, Richard Avalos, Tony Avalos, Joe Melin; sister Madeline (Melin) Cesena and Gil Melin.
Alice is survived by her siblings Mary (Gaitan) Schmiedeke of Lompoc; Edward Avalos of Torrance, and Manuel Avalos of Huntington Beach, California. She also leaves behind son Edward Breen, Jr and Deena (Breen) and Gale Greer of Lompoc; her niece Christine (Cesena) and Mark Pilon of Orange, California whom she raised as her own from a young age. She is also survived by her ten grandchildren Dan Deering, Tamani Deering, Tanisha Golub, Sonny Breen, Ronnie Rodriguez, Shelly Rodriguez, Kyle Rygiel, Tedelle Breen-Kellog, Telynne Breen and Kayla Breen. She also leaves behind 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Alice worked for many years as a waitress and retired from San Martin Restaurant. During her years as a waitress, she was so liked by her customers that sometimes they would wait up to an hour just to sit at her station.
Alice's children and family were her life and she was the matriarch of her family. She was well loved by all and will be very much missed by all. As per her request, there will be no services.
