Alice Cole, 85, of Lompoc, CA, passed away April 2, 2019, after a long battle with Parkinson's disease.
She was born in Hackensack, New Jersey, October 19, 1933, and was one of seven children being survived by her brother Harry Post (Dottie) of Ohio and sister Martha Wassmer of Pennsylvania.
Alice, a longtime resident of Lompoc, worked in the medical field for over 25 years with her most recent job being at the Lompoc Hospital as an ER Admittance Clerk. She was a meat clerk at Williams Brothers, bookkeeper at McMahan's Furniture & the Lompoc Furniture Mart, and even raised Irish Setters when she lived in Japan.
Alice was a great cook. She had quite the collection of dolls, magazines and books. She spent most of her extra time spoiling her grandsons. Alice had a unique sense of humor that could catch you off guard. She was truly one-of-a-kind.
She had many lifetime friendships, most over 50 years. She truly enjoyed her time with them whether it was teaching them how to crochet, gossiping after work, or simply having a cup of coffee.
Alice is survived by her longtime companion, John Bradley, daughter & son-in-law Lisa & Rick Osborn, and her three loves that called her "Granny," Justin, Cameron and Bradley Osborn.
Funeral services will be held at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary on Thursday, April 11 th at 3pm.
