IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Alice Eleanor
Domingos
November 19, 1936 – March 21, 2018
Alice Eleanor Huyck Domingos
November 19, 1936-March 21, 2018
Alice Domingos joined her husband Tony and her daughter "Peanut" Kate on March 21, 2018.
Alice was born in 1936 and was a farmer's daughter to Lawrence and Dorothy Huyck. Between
the Huycks and the Domingos, she had a large, loving family and loved hosting
"gatherings" at her family home. Alice made no judgments, all were welcome. Even in her
illness, family and friends stopped by and she always wanted to know what was happening with
everyone. She was always the first to volunteer to be team mother, room mother, and with the
Portuguese celebrations.
She had a forty-year career at Johns Manville starting in 1955 when her Uncle Pooley Jacobs hired
her, and was voted Employee of the Year for the entire Manville corporation.
She preferred being at home in Lompoc but she and Tony did travel, staying in KOAs from
Canada to the Eastern Seaboard.
She is survived by a large family, including nieces, nephews, cousins, children, and
grandchildren. There will be a celebration of life for both Alice and Tony at the Domingos home
Sunday May 6, 2018 from 10:00am to 2:00pm. 921 West Alden, Lompoc. All are welcome.
