Alice M. Escobar, 63, of Lompoc passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at her home. Alice was born on February 27, 1948 in Santa Ynez to Fermin and Bessie Escobar.

Alice grew up locally graduating from San Marcos High School. She worked for Ratheon for over 25 years before retiring. She loved to cook and her cooking will be missed by her family.

Alice is survived by her long-time companion Gary Pina; children, Jeannie (J.P.) Beauchesne and Jimmy Russell ; mother, Bessie Escobar; brothers, Dave (Peggy) Escobar, JR Escobar, and Vincent Escobar; grandchildren, Cecily and Jesse Russell and Tayla and Dylan Beauchesne; nephews, Mario Escobar and Matthew Escobar; and niece, Julianna Escobar. She was preceded in death by her father, Fermin Escobar.

A Rosary will be held at Queen of Angel Catholic Church on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at 5pm, followed by a Memorial Mass on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at 10am. Private interment will take place at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. www.starbucklind.com
