ALICE J. GROSSINI
1929-2009

Alice Jane Grossini, age 79 of Lompoc, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2009. She was born June 21, 1929 to Francisca and Jule R. Silva in Lompoc.

Alice's family lived on Mail Road near Buellton when she was born. They later moved to Lompoc where she was raised, educated, and attended Lompoc High. Alice married Roy Grossini in 1951 and together they had four children. She was a lifelong homemaker and a member of La Purisma Conception Catholic Church. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grand-children and attending their various athletic contests.

Alice is survived by her children, Elaine Preston of Camarillo, Marlene (Randy) Campbell, LeRoy (Cheryl) Grossini, and Darrel (Lori) Grossini, all of Lompoc; her grandchildren Mark (Chelle) Towns, Cristy (Joey) Costa, Shera (Scott) Sinton, Jessica Campbell, Brett and Brooke Grossini, Stewart and Brenda Kemp, Carlee and Carson Grossini; and 7 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters Evelyn Grossi and Minnie Grossi, of Lompoc, and brothers Jule R. Silva, Jr. of Lompoc and Manuel Silva of Arizona. Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Roy D. Grossini in 1982.

Visitation will take place Thursday, March 26, 2009 from 6-7 pm at La Purisima Catholic Church with an evening vigil to begin at 7pm. Father Tom Cook will celebrate the mass of Christian burial on Friday, March 27, 2009 at 10 am, also at La Purisima. Burial will follow at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
