Alvin Louis Gilmore Sr was called home on August 1, 2014. Born on February 11, 1926 in Houston TX. He was one of five children. He enlisted in the US Army/Air Force in 1945 and served in WWII. He is survived by and married to for 65 years, Odessa Gilmore; also survived by children Annette Rogers, Alvin Gilmore Jr., Deborah Gilmore, and eleven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday August 7, 2014 at l:00 pm at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary Chapel.
