Polly Ornelaz, 93, died March 29, 2016, in Lompoc, California. She was born November 2, 1922, in Lompoc, California. Her final days were spent surrounded by her children and family.

Polly enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and gardening. She was happiest catering to others, especially by cooking special meals. As a past member of the Grange and Catholic Daughters, she donated many pies and other baked goods.

Polly is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Socorro, son George, and son-in-law Michael Hearn. Polly is survived by daughters Rose Hearn, Beatrice Blankenship, and Linda Overman (Gary); son, Ricardo (Karla); 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and sister, Rachael Thomas, who she helped raise, as well as brothers and sisters.

A rosary will be held at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary on Sunday, April 3, 2016, at 6 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Monday, April 4, 2016, at La Purisima Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
