Vigil services for Ana Marie Torres, 27, of Lompoc, will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at the chapel of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. A funeral mass will be celebrated
2:30 p.m. Wednesday at La Purisima Catholic Church with Rev. Tom Cook officiating. Burial will follow at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
Ana Marie was born January 23, 2007 in Sun Valley California to Reinaldo and Katherine Jasso Torres. She moved to Lompoc in 1990 and graduated from Lompoc High in 1998. Her family and friends were an important part of her life and she enjoyed party planning. She was a loving mother and family member who was devoted to her Catholic faith.
She died Friday, September 7, 2007 at Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara.
Survivors include her mother, Katherine Torres of Lompoc; father, Ray Torres of Rosemead; her son and daughter, Jason and Elena Thornton, both of Lompoc; sisters, Teresa Torres, Alice Torres, and Christine Torres, all of Lompoc; brothers, Armando Torres, Joseph Torres, Steven Torres, all of Lompoc, and Reinaldo Torres of California; her fiancé, Levi Thornton of Lompoc and his parents, Ben and Virginia Thornton. She also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary.
