Anastasia V. Murillo beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away July 14, 2024. She was 72 years young.

She was born on April 28, 1952, in Purisima del Rincón Guanajuato, Mexico. She was the fifth child of nine born to Guadalupe Villalpando and María Guerrero. She immigrated to California when she was 11 years old. She lived in Santa Barbara where she attended Harding Elementary, La Cumbre Junior High, and graduated from Santa Barbara High School in 1970. She then attended Santa Barbara City College and graduated with an associate in arts degree in 1973. She went on to work as a registered nurse and later as a telephone operator for GTE. On April 7, 1978, she married the love of her life Jorge Murillo. They were married for 46 years. Together they had 2 children, Cecilia Julissa and Jorge Miguel Angel.

She is survived by her husband Jorge, daughter Cecilia Julissa, sisters Irene, Julie, Josefina, María, brother Guadalupe, and a worldwide group of friends. She was preceded in death by her father Guadalupe, mother María, son Jorge Miguel Angel, and brothers Gerardo, José, and Federico.

Anastasia was a kind, giving, and loving person. No one who visited her could leave without having a gift in their hands. She would give the clothes off her back if she saw someone in need or want of what she had. She loved everyone with all her heart. She was always buying gifts for others even those whom she had not yet met.

She had a difficult life and survived much loss and pain. The one thing that kept her going besides the love of her family was learning the truth about Jehovah God and his promise for the future. When she learned that God's name is Jehovah, that he is not the source of our suffering, and that he promises to restore the earth to its original perfect condition and resurrect all those who have died, she chose to become part of God's organization. She was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1987. She frecuently expressed her wish for others to experience the same joy and happiness she did when she learned the truth.  Unfortunately, due to her many illnesses she was not able to do that as much as she had wished. She wanted to be remembered as a faithful servant of Jehovah. She died believing in Jehovah's promise of the resurrection in paradise on earth. We, her family, hold on to the hope of seeing her again in perfect health, in a perfect world, when God's kingdom becomes a reality here on earth.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Saturday, August 3rd, 2024 at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary from 11:00-2:00. At 1:00 her family would like to share some words and memories on her behalf. This will be followed by a memorial service at 3:00 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses located at 705 N. Fourth St. after which we will have a small gathering in her honor.

Anastasia V. Murillo amada esposa, madre, hermana, tía y amiga falleció el 14 de julio de 2024. Tenía 72 años.

Nació el 28 de abril de 1952 en Purísima del Rincón Guanajuato, México. Fue la quinta hija de nueve hijos de Guadalupe Villalpando y María Guerrero. Emigró a California cuando tenía 11 años. Vivió en Santa Bárbara, donde asistió a Harding Elementary, La Cumbre Junior High y se graduó de Santa Barbara High School en 1970. Luego asistió a Santa Barbara City College y se graduó con un título asociado en artes en 1973. Después trabajó como enfermera titulada y luego operadora de teléfonos de GTE. El 7 de abril de 1978 se casó con el amor de su vida Jorge Murillo. Estuvieron casados ​​durante 46 años. Juntos tuvieron 2 hijos, Cecilia Julissa y Jorge Miguel Angel.

Le sobreviven su esposo Jorge, su hija Cecilia Julissa, sus hermanas Irene, Julie, Josefina, María, su hermano Guadalupe y un sinnúmero de amigos de todo el mundo. Le precedieron en la muerte su padre Guadalupe, su madre María, su hijo Jorge Miguel Ángel y sus hermanos Gerardo, José y Federico.

Anastasia era una persona amable, generosa y cariñosa. Nadie que la visitara podía irse sin llevarse un regalo en sus manos. Se quitaría la ropa que llevaba si veía a alguien en necesidad o que le gustaba lo que ella llevaba. Amaba a todos con todo su corazón. Siempre estaba comprando regalos para otras personas, incluso para aquellos a quienes aun no había conocido.

Tuvo una vida difícil y sobrevivió muchas pérdidas y dolor. Lo único que la mantuvo adelante, además del amor de su familia, fue aprender la verdad acerca de Jehová Dios y su promesa para el futuro. Cuando aprendió que el nombre de Dios es Jehová, que él no es la fuente de nuestro sufrimiento y que promete restaurar la Tierra a su perfecta condición original y resucitar a todos los que han muerto, decidió formar parte de la organización de Dios. Se bautizó como testigo de Jehová en 1987. Con frecuencia expresaba su deseo de que otros experimentaran el mismo gozo y felicidad que ella experimentó cuando conoció la verdad. Desafortunadamente, debido a sus muchas enfermedades, ella no pudo hacer todo lo que a ella le hubiera gustado para dar a conocer la verdad bíblica. Quería ser recordada como una fiel sierva de Jehová. Murió con la esperanza de resucitar en el paraíso aquí en la tierra como lo ha prometido Jehová. Nosotros, su familia, nos aferramos a la esperanza de volver a verla con perfecta salud, en un mundo perfecto, cuando el reino de Dios se haga realidad aquí en la tierra.

Se invita a familiares y amigos a expresar sus respetos el sábado 3 de agosto de 2024 en Starbuck-Lind Mortuary de 11:00 a 2:00. A la 1:00 su familia desea compartir algunas palabras y recuerdos en su nombre. A esto le seguirá un discurso conmemorativo a las 3:00 p. m. en el Salón del Reino de los Testigos de Jehová ubicado en 705 N. Fourth St., después del cual tendremos una pequeña reunión social en su honor.
