Anita Marie Brown, age 87, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2025, surrounded by her family. A devoted wife to the late Eugene Esteban Gutierrez III and a proud mother of seven children, including fraternal twin daughters, Anita was the heart and foundation of her family. Known for her intelligence, grace, and remarkable strength, she dedicated her life to those she loved with unwavering loyalty and resilience.

Anita managed a bustling household with effortless elegance. She prepared nightly dinners, kept the home impeccably maintained, helped the children with their homework, cared for the family's beloved pets, and shuttled the kids to an endless stream of academic and athletic activities—all while also assisting Eugene with his private MAI appraisal practice. Her devotion and sacrifices ensured that all her children achieved collegiate degrees and went on to build successful careers, a legacy she treasured deeply.

She will forever be remembered for her timeless beauty, warm smile, and generous spirit. Her home was always open, her humor uplifting, and her presence a source of comfort to all who knew her.

Anita is survived by her children: Lynette Rehkopf, Jeannine Chomyn, Gene Gutierrez IV, Michelle DeMaio, Renee' Maslauskas, Denise Gutierrez-Brown, and Diane Gutierrez. She is preceded in death by Ryan Thomas Chomyn, Beverly Anne D'Emilio, Eugene Esteban Gutierrez III, and Donald Clinton Rehkopf.
