Ann Marie Ostini passed away peacefully at home on March 1, 2024, in Lompoc, California.

She was born in Sheffield England on July 15, 1939, to John and Marie Young. During World War 11, she lived in the village of Grindelford with her grandparents. After attending college, Ann worked as a telephone operator. She then married and relocated to the United States. Ann spent her early years as a homemaker and later worked at Culberson's Real Estate Company and First Valley Bank.

While living in Lompoc Ann raised two daughters, Anna and Elizabeth Boyd. She was active in the school's PTA, Bluebirds and helped the girls with their horsemanship. Ann was also active in the British Wives Club where she held several official positions.

Ann shared the last 42 years of her life with her loving and devoted husband, Larry Ostini. The two met in Lompoc in 1980 and enjoyed many years of camping at Jalama Beach, attending events at the local Elks Club and traveling all around the world. Ann and Larry retired in Kona Hawaii. Ann worked part-time at Sunset Trades in downtown Kona, where she enjoyed chatting up the tourists and forming lifelong friendships with her co-workers.

Ann loved Hawaiian sunsets, reading, gardening and knitting. She was a fantastic knitter and enjoyed knitting clothes for others, especially her grandchildren. Ann's yard and garden were magnificent. She loved to host her family at her beautiful home in Kona.

Ann is survived by her husband Larry Ostini, her daughter Anna Boyd, sisters Susan Weston and Yvonne Hayes, her brother John Young, her grandchildren Elizabeth Williams, Alex Zalewski, Shane Dutra and her two great-grandchildren Kendyl Williams and Stella Williams. Ann is preceded in death by her daughter Elizabeth Boyd.

She led a life centered around her family. She will be in their hearts forever.

All are welcome to a graveside service at Lompoc cemetery on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at 11:00 am followed by a reception at The Mission Club Golf Course.
