Anna Marie Bengston passed away on April 8, 2017. Anna was born on July 28, 1926 in Avoca, PA. She was one of seven children born to Kostantine (Stanley) and Anna Kobylus. She resided in Avoca, a coal mining town until 1942 when the Kobylus family moved to Kearney, New Jersey.
In June 1946, at the Polish Falcons Hall in Newark, New Jersey, she met the love of her life, Charlie. They were married in September 1947 and were soul mates until Charlie's passing in April 2003.
Anna is survived by her five children, Carole Yeaw of Lompoc, Linda (Mike) Torello of Oakley, California, Laura Soley of Manistee, Michigan, Daniel (Candace) Bengston of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Eric (Elizabeth) Bengston of Centralia, Washington. She also leaves behind her brothers Leonard and Chester Kobylus, sister Winifred Stang, cousin Veronica Heron, grandchildren Sara, Mitchell, Jessica and Garrison and her two great grandchildren, Nic and Molly.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charlie, her parents, brother John, sister Rose and Anna's twin sister Marie.
Services will be held later. Arrangements are in the care of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary.
The family would like to thank the wonderful and caring people at Hospice, especially Billie, Deb, Janice, Kelly and Melissa. And for their care and love, Anette, Emma and especially Christina, thank you for being there and being the best caregivers and friends to mom.
