Anna Drees was born May 10, 1935 to Steinar "Barney" and Inis Butler Peterson in Grand Forks, North Dakota. She passed away September 25, 2015 in Lompoc, California surrounded by her family. Ann grew up in Grand Forks, North Dakota where she went to school.
She moved to Lompoc in 1960, with her husband John Drees. She was the principal's secretary at Lompoc High School for many years and worked at the base for Stearns Rogers until she retired.
Ann loved to play bridge with her friends, garden, travel and go to as many of her grandchildren sporting events she could go to.
She is survived by her three children; son Jeffrey ( Gayle) Drees, daughters Julie (David) Mc Aninch and Catherine (Chris) Silva; eight grandchildren; Cody and Jason Drees, David (Elyse), Scott, Elizabeth and Michelle Mc Aninch; Christopher and Austin Silva; one great-granddaughter Justyne Silva. She also leaves behind a sister and half-brother. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, John Drees.
