Anna Carmela Richards died on Saturday, February 17, 2018, in Lompoc, California.  She was born on July 26, 1935, to Vito and Giuseppina Travisano in Laviano, Italy, and was raised and educated there.

In 1966 Anna came to Lompoc.  She was a homemaker but also worked at Lompoc District Hospital from 1988 to 1994.  She left the hospital and enrolled in beautician school.  She worked for over 20 years as a hairdresser.

Anna was a member of La Purisima Catholic Church as well as a member of the Sons of Italy.  Her interests were carpentry, painting, landscaping, plumbing and cooking.

Anna is survived by her son Roger G. Richards of Lompoc, California, brothers Franco Travisano of Torino, Italy, and Gerardo Travisano of Novara, Italy.  She is also survived by her close friends Phyllis Cox and Maria Grazia Clark, both of Lompoc.  She was preceded in death by her husband Roy N. Richards in 1996.

The visitation will be Wednesday, February 21, 2018, from 4-7pm in the chapel of the Starbuck-Lind Mortuary.  The mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 22, at 10am at La Purisima Catholic Church.  The interment will follow in the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
