Annie Cecelia Briscoe of Lompoc died Monday, June 1, 2009, at the age of 91.
Annie was born February 16, 1918 to Charles and Georgia Richardson in Thibodaux, Louisiana. She came to Lompoc in 1957 as the wife of an Air Force serviceman. A fulltime homemaker, she excelled in cooking, and enjoyed crossword puzzles, embroidering and coin collecting. She was a faithful member of La Purisima Catholic Church and a friend to everyone.
Annie was preceded in death by her husband Allen Peter Briscoe, Sr. in 1983, and then her beloved son Robert Louis Briscoe. She is survived by her son Allen P. Briscoe, Jr. of San Jose, grandchildren, Allen P. Briscoe III, Trina Michelle Briscoe, Elizabeth Ann Briscoe, Rhonda Parrish, Sonja Etienne, Edward Etienne, Karen Etienne, 12 great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and very close dear friends.
Vigil services will be 6 p.m. Thursday, June 11, 2009 at the chapel of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, at La Purisima Catholic Church with Rev. Albert Sanchez officiating. Burial will follow at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation hours will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary.
