IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Anthony Scott
Martin
August 2, 1971 – June 24, 2022
Anthony was born in Marquette Michigan, K.I. Sawyer AFB hospital. At four months old we moved to Lompoc California where Anthony attended LaCanada elementary school, Lompoc middle school and graduated from Lompoc High School. Anthony was active and a recipient of awards for his participation in the marching band as a percussionist. Additionally, he was active in youth sports, football and baseball.
Anthony's father since the age of one, Willie J. Petty, provided strong guidance, instilling values required for manhood. Willie J. Petty passed away on November 7, 2020.
During Anthony's childhood, he asked Jesus Christ to be his lord and savior and was baptized at Grace Temple Missionary Baptist church.
Shortly after graduating from Lompoc High Anthony joined the United States Navy where he completed basic training at the Naval Training Center in San Diego CA and became a CB; Construction Battalion and was assigned to Naval Station Rota Spain.
Due to his medical conditions, his naval career was shortened, resulting in his retirement under honorable conditions. Anthony was happily married to Maria Alisa Herrera, and in 2019 they had a son, Anthony Scott Martin Jr.
Anthony endured an unimaginable variety of medical challenges, but never complained, always projecting a positive and loving attitude…with a smile.
Anthony leaves to mourn his passing his wife Lisa Martin, their son Anthony Jr., his mother Bobbie J. Petty. His brothers George E. Martin (Tracy), Steven D. Martin (Lea), sister Danielle L. Petty. The Julio Herrera family, James, Sandy, George E. Martin Jr. and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
