Arlene Grace Wilson Woolever died peacefully at home with her family present. She was 90 years old.
Arlene was born in Ogden, Utah to Arthur E. Wilson and Nancy B. Hunt Wilson Keenan. Her family moved to Long Beach, California when she was a little girl and she graduated from Poly High School in 1947.
In the early 1950's she was an Admiral Assistant and worked at Fort McArthur in San Pedro, California.
She married Loyd Douglas "Doug" Woolever August 4, 1956, in Long Beach. They had three sons Lee Douglas, David Brian and Tim Darryl. As the boys were growing up, she volunteered at her boys' school and took part in making birthday and wedding cakes which included candy trains during the holidays.
The Woolever family moved to Lompoc in 1983, where she was active in Boy Scouts with her boys. She loved to go camping and took many camping trips with family throughout the years.
She will forever be remembered by her husband Doug of 63 years and children David (Irma) Woolever from Raymondville, Texas and Tim (LeAnne) Woolever who live in Lompoc. She was preceded in death by her son Lee Woolever. Arlene presently has five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter. Also surviving her are several nieces, nephews and close family friends who will also miss her.
A graveside service will be held at 10am on Nov. 9, 2019, at the Lompoc Cemetery, conducted by Jeff Warren a close family friend. The celebration of life will follow at the Embassy Suites at 11am in Lompoc that same day.
