Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Arturo Flores,

Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grand father. Arturo passed away at home on April 9th, 2023, surrounded by family and love. Arturo was born on May 12, 1939, in Hebbronville, TX. Upon graduation, from High School he entered the United States Air Force, where he served his country with honor and was a Vietnam Veteran where he earned the Bronze Star. In 1961 he met and married the love of his life Maria Sanchez he last base of station was Vandenberg Air Force Base where he retired in 1981 After his military service he permanently settled in Lompoc, where he worked for Lockheed Martin Aerospace as a Material Specialist and retired in 2006.

He was a fan of Canadian Club and spent many years as a Friday regular at the Whistle Stop. Arturo was a devoted family man and is survived by his wife of 61 years Maria Flores and his daughters Victoria King (Stan) Annette Flores Grandchildren Xandie King Groves (Tim (D). Tristan Alan King (Alex) Great Grandchildren Jordan, Chloe, Riley, Layne, Corbin, Dalton all of Lompoc Ca. Sister Maria Cristina Flores of Hebbronville TX, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his father and mother Donato and Juanita Flores, his beloved mother in-law Corrina Sanchez father in-law Albino Sanchez and Grandson in-law Tim Groves.

Who he loved and cherished deeply.

Arturo's legacy will live on through the many lives he touched throughout his years of service to his country his contributions to the Aerospace industry, and most importantly, in his devotion to his family and friends few of us have known a better man.

Arturo will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

May he rest in peace, and may his memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on April 21st, 2023, at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary, located at 123 N A St, Lompoc Ca followed by a graveside service at Lompoc Cemetery with Military honors.

Reception to be held at the Events Mission Valley 138 N B St.
