Arturo Santiago Perez of Lompoc died Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at the age of 51.

Arturo was born September 1, 1956 in San Pablo, Oaxaca, Mexico to Alfonso and Constantina Santiago. A resident of Lompoc for the last 25 years, Arturo worked in maintenance for the Hapsten House in Solvang. He attended La Purisima Catholic Church and in his free time he loved to watch soccer on T.V.

Arturo is survived by his wife of 30 years Susana Ramirez of Lompoc, son Sergio Santiago of Santa Maria, daughter Letty Santiago of Lompoc, and son Leo Santiago of Lompoc. He is also survived by many brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews here in Santa Barbara County and in Mexico.

The visitation will be on Friday, February 1, 2008 from 4 to 8 pm with the evening vigil service at 6 pm in the chapel of the Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. Father Tom Cook will celebrate the funeral mass on Saturday, February 2, 2008, at 10 am at La Purisima Catholic Church followed by interment in the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
