Mr. Audie Wallace Willis, 74, of Rome, Georgia and formerly of Lompoc, died Monday, March 23, 2015 at Kindred Hospital in Rome.
Born December 2, 1940 in Garvin, Oklahoma, he was a son of the late Earl Audie Willis and the late Clara Beller Willis. Mr. Willis was a veteran of the United States Army, and worked as a welder for Grefco Corporation for 38 years. He also worked for Lasalle Stables for 15 years and was a member of the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks for 28 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter Denise Ramos and granddaughter Elizabeth Alexis Cummings.
Survivors include his wife Lorraine Willis; daughter Della Gray and her husband Frank of Rome; grandchildren Michael Cummings, Sara Carpenter, Tonya Ramos, and Robert Ramos; three great-grandchildren; stepchildren Janet Kitchel, Kenneth Trammell, and Clarence "Nick" Nicholas Mitchell; and six step-grandchildren.
Private burial will be at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
