AUDREY G. BRYAN
1917-2008
Audrey George Bryan, age 91 of Lompoc, passed away Friday, May 9, 2008. Born February 24, 1917 to George and Lulu Crosby, Audrey grew up in Center, Washington.
In addition to being a devoted mother, Audrey also worked outside the home as a teletype operator for Johns Manville for 25 years. She belonged to the Lompoc Community Woman's Club, the Historical Society and the Hospital Auxiliary, where she volunteered at the hospital pharmacy. Her favorite activities included gardening and reading to her family.
Audrey leaves behind daughter and son-in-law Sharon and Richard Deemar of Livingston, TX, son Patrick G. Bryan of Keaau, HI, sister Pearl Oldziewski of Sun City, CA, brother Truman Crosby of Chula Vista, CA, two grandchildren – Crystal Abraham and Michael Linneman, four great-grandchildren, and many close friends.
She was preceded in death by husband William Bryan in 1991, and sister Maxine Miller in 2007.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 17, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. in the Starbuck-Lind Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Julia Leeth of First Presbyterian Church of Lompoc officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Audrey's name may be made to the Battered Women's Shelter in Santa Maria, Visiting Nurses, Special Olympics, or Hospice.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary.
