Audrey Jane Smith (91), passed away peacefully at home Friday the 14th of July 2017. She was holding the hand of her true love, Arthur Smith Jr. and surrounded by family and friends.

Audrey was a native of Cwymgiedd Ystrydgynlais, Wales, in the United Kingdom. In March of 1944, she met Art Smith during WWII. On June 6, 1947, Audrey left her homeland and arrived in San Francisco, California to be reunited and happily married to Arthur Smith Jr. at St. Francis Assisi church on June 14, 1947. This past June 2017, the couple celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.

Art and Audrey took every opportunity to live life to the fullest. Over the years, they lovingly raised their family; daughter Megan (deceased), son David and daughter Ceri. They enjoyed traveling the world at every opportunity. With laughter and a positive approach to life they overcame any obstacle that may have come their way.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Arthur Smith Jr., son David Rhys Smith and his wife Margie Smith of Visalia, daughter Ceri Lyn Smith of San Francisco along with four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
