August George

Our loved one August George has gone to be with our Lord.
We will always remember his love of God, how he loved his wife and his family, his many friends, deep sea fishing, and his garden.
Born to Lawrence and Isabel (Luis) George on August 4, 1929. He was a lifetime resident of Lompoc, and was a Lompoc High School grad; class of 1947. For 30 years, August worked as a heavy equipment operator and was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 12 Union.
Rosary will be held at Starbuck mortuary Sunday, January 22nd at 5pm. Mass will be held at La Purisima Catholic Church on Monday, January 23 at 10am. Reception to follow.
August is survived by his loving wife Inez (Figueiredo) George of 64 years, his sister Alice Milligan (Joseph), his six children; Michael George, Lenore Thompson (Rick), Daniel George (Donna), Karen Elam (Dennis), Noreen Tilton (Mark), and James George (Delcie); his 15 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. He is proceeded in death by his parents and his sister Mary Perry (George)`

A vigil will be held on Sunday, January 22 at 5 pm at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary with a Funeral Mass held on Monday, January 23 at 10am at La Purisima Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to La Purisima Catholic Schoool or a charity of your choice.
