Barbara (Bobbie) Bessie Evans, 93, passed away on October 8, 2013 at the Comprehensive Care Center in Lompoc, CA. She was born on January 11, 1920 in Weed, CA and was raised by her step-father and mother, Willard and Bessie Robbins.

Bobbie grew up near Seaside, Oregon and moved to California in the 1960s. She was a long-time resident of Lompoc where she was a member of the Lompoc Valley Art Association and the American Legion.

Bobbie is survived by her children, Wayne Persons of Lompoc; Shirley (Jerry) Ramsay of Marysville, CA; Mickey (Debbie) Evans of Lompoc; and Janet Harper of Savannah, GA; her sister, Margaret Elaine Schosso of Elmira, Washington; 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Evans, her sister, Madeline Olson, her son-in-law, Herbert Harper, and a great granddaughter.
Private graveside services will be held at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society or a favorite charity.
