Services for Barbara Bosio, 85, of Lompoc, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at the chapel of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary with Pastor Joseph Byrd of Bethany Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will follow at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
A native of Lompoc, Barbara was born February 4, 1923 to Joseph and Emma Payne. She was raised and attended local schools in Ballard and graduated from Santa Ynez High School. Barbara was a lifelong homemaker and partner with her husband's business adventures. Her favorite pastimes included cooking, bowling and horseback riding. In her younger years, she was an avid artist who liked painting and sketching.
She died Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at her home.
Survivors include her daughter, Charlene Bosio-Mathieu and husband Dave of Paso Robles; sisters, Leah Duncan of Lompoc, Anna Gonsalves and Doris Trego, both of Santa Maria; and granddaughter, Michaela Bozio-Mathieu of Paso Robles. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles in 2000.
Visitation hours will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the mortuary.
