Barbara (Bobby) passed away with her family and friends holding her close on October 30, 2013. Barbara was 82 years young. A birthday celebration for Barbara was planned to be held on 12/12/13. She was born in Spokane, Washington to Louis and Julia Fish, and there she met her lifelong friend, companion and husband Francis J. Smith. They have been married for 59 1/2 years.

Barbara was a devoted wife and mother. Frank and Barbara were both members of the Elks Lodge. She had a talent and love for gardening and was honored with Lompoc's Home Beautification Award multiple times. Her Irish Roses will miss her. She also enjoyed days of camping at Jalama Beach before health conditions intervened.

She is survived by her loving husband Frank Smith. Her utmost passion were her children Jeff and Leslie Smith, Bob and Cathy Stapp, grandchildren Ryan and Amy, Trent and Kelly, Tim and Marissa, and Christina, and great grandchildren Abby, Emma, and Jaida. They will miss their grandma who they loved so very much. Barbara is also survived by her siblings Sonny, Tinker, Julie and Scotty. She is preceded in death by her oldest sister Nadine.

Arrangements are in the care of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. A visitation will be held at the mortuary on Tuesday, November 5th from 4-8pm and Rosary will be at 6pm. Graveside services at Lompoc Cemetery will be Wednesday, November 6th at 11am. Please join us.
