Barbara Elaine Wolfe passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2011 in Lompoc. Barbara was born in Athens, Ohio to Herald and Janice (Tom) Ogg on April 2, 1937. She was raised and educated in the area and married Phillip A. Wolfe on March 10, 1956 at the First Nazarene Church in Athens.
In 1965, the family moved to Vandenberg Air Force Base, Vandenberg Village. Barbara spend many years as a homemaker, raising their three children; Lonie, Theresa and Andre. She also worked in sales and security over the years.
Barbara was a ballroom and square dancer with the Rocking Squares. She was a cancer survivor, a regular participant in the Lompoc Flower Festival Parade, and a roller skater, raising money for the Jerry Lewis telethon with Village Skate Center.
Preceding Barbara in death was her husband, Phillip in 1979 and her son, Lonie in 1999. She is survived by her brother John Ogg, her daughter, Theresa (Wolfe) Masicampo, her son, Andre Wolfe, eight grandchildren; Cheryl, Rachel, Kulani, Kaili, Corazon, Corynn, Derick and Raven, and 2 great grandchildren; Jaycie and Liliana.
She was a woman of great strength, courage and endurance. She exhibited an immeasurable amount of generosity and love to those who knew her.
The memorial service will be held at the Calvary Baptist Church in Vandenberg Village on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 2pm.
