Our beloved mother Bea Chapman passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 8, 2011. She was born in Birchwood, Wisconsin on May 16, 1923. She relocated to Tacoma, Washington where she graduated high school and met her husband John Chapman and were happily married 70 years. The young family relocated to Lompoc in 1957. Bea and John enjoyed taking car rides all over the west coast. Bea's work history was in accounting and secretarial in Lompoc and at Vandenberg Air Force Base.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 15 at First Southern Baptist Church, 1009 East Pine Avenue in Lompoc, with Pastor Pauley presiding.
She was very loved by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Bea is survived by her children John Chapman, Christine Kowaleski and Gerry Meier; grandchildren, Lori Rinker, David Chapman, Cathy Binderup, Jennifer Murray, Larry Kowaleski, Bobby and Clifford Meier; great grandchildren Justice Kowaleski, Andrea Murray, Avery and Ethan Rinker and Cienna Kowaleski.
