IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Beverly J.
Apple
August 29, 1929 – September 17, 2018
My precious partner, wonderful wife, loving mother of our two kids, grand and great grandmother was called by our Lord and Savior on September 17, 2018, to join Him in heaven. I was relieved because she was ready and even said she wanted to die.
She had a great team of 24/7 caregivers who all loved her, and she loved each of them. She was cooperative and cheery all the time, and she was assisted by the dedicated Hospice staff and enjoyed their love too.
She was always popular with everyone who knew her, and she said many times that she never disliked anyone. Bev wrote me every day when I was in the Navy during WWII in the South Pacific. She received a "Putting Husband Through" degree when we graduated from college because of all the term papers she typed at home while also working full time. She was queen of the Broadway when they opened one of their stores. Bev earned the nickname of "The Roadrunner" because she pulled her little golf cart in the lead of her foursome on the many hills. She was a proven leader as Women's President of our two golf clubs and president of the Los Angeles Women's Golf Association with 31 Clubs and over 800 members.
We went steady in high school in 1944 and married while in college in 1948, celebrating our 70th wedding anniversary on September 3, 2018. Retirement entailed extensive golfing trips to many countries from Australia to Scotland.
I and her survivors are pleased and relieved that she's now in heaven, free of her dementia. They are our daughter Sue Farcello, granddaughter Shayni, and grandson Cody with their three great grandkids, along with son Rich.
Thanks to our Lord and Savior we've enjoyed a fabulous life with a loving family and many, many wonderful friends. Thanks and praise to God! To you Bev from your ever-loving husband.
The memorial service will be Monday, September 24, at 11 am in the Sage Restaurant of the Mission Club. The private interment will be in the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
