Beverly Joan Kennedy age 80, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 17, 2023. She was born on March 4, 1943, in Orange, New Jersey to Stanley and Loretta Paton. Beverly graduated from Livingston High School in 1961 where she met her high school sweetheart, Robert Kennedy. They then married shortly after on February 18, 1962. Beverly and Robert went on to have three children. Their children were their pride and joy. Her full-time job became motherhood and homemaking which she excelled greatly at.
Robert and Beverly moved their family to Lompoc, California 55 years ago in October of 1968. This became their forever home where they would build their Kennedy legacy. They bought their home from her parents and never left. This home ended up being the home where she would raise her family and a ton of beautiful memories would be made. Bev worked in Aerospace on Vandenberg Airforce Base for 30 years where she would eventually retire. Bev was a huge part of the community of Lompoc. She is known for her involvement in the Elks Lodge, Half Century Club, Numerous sports organizations, Camping Clubs, Animal Shelter, Shadows Fund, and Parks and Recreation. She had a passion for helping animals. She spent her time volunteering and spending time with family and friends. She loved Disneyland, bingo, thrift stores, camping, and traveling in their motorhome. but her ultimate pride and joy were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Beverly Kennedy was preceded in death by her husband Robert Kennedy Sr., her father and mother Stanley and Loretta Paton, her sister Patricia Busse, her brother Richard Paton, and her nephews Alan Busse and Robert Hickler.
She is survived her children Bobby Kennedy (Claudia), Debbie Rainwater (Daniel), and Scott Kennedy; her grandchildren Joshua and Tyler Rainwater, Tristan Crone (Toby), Victoria Qualls (Jason), Adriana Pelters (Jordan), Haylee Kennedy (Matt); her nieces Tracy Thompson (Pat) and Laurie Atkins (Tony); her great grandchildren Koa and Kaimani Crone, Harper, Presley and Maddux Qualls, Axylle and Jaxxtyn Pelters and Ramsey Townsend.
She loved her family so much. She was so grateful to live a long life with the people she loved. Nothing made her prouder than watching her family grow and spoiling her great grandchildren.
The family has peace knowing Beverly has joined her lifelong sweetheart in Heaven. She missed him so much and we can imagine how beautiful their reunion was.
Services will be held at Lompoc Cemetery on November 2nd at 11 AM. Following the service there will be a celebration of life held at the Half Century Club at 12:30pm located at 341 North N. St. in Lompoc, California.
