BEVERLY "BEV" FAYE SETTLEMYRE
1939-2008
Bev Settlemyre, age 72 of Lompoc, passed away July 18, 2008 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 8, 1939 in California to Frank and Benita McCoy. She attended school and graduated in Bakersfield, CA. She came to Lompoc in 1966, and on August 3, 1973 she married the love of her life, Eldon Settlemyre. Together they had five children, three daughters and two sons.
Bev loved to make porcelain dolls, gamble at the Chumash Casino, sew, and most of all, care for her grandchildren. She was a lifelong homemaker and devoted her life to her children and grandchildren. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband of almost 35 years, Eldon Settlemyre of Lompoc, sister Frances Berrigan of Bakersfield, brother Don "Last Tag" McCoy and his wife JoAnne of Las Vegas, NV, daughter Kathy Evans of Lompoc, son Mike Davis of Beaumont, son and daughter-in-law Kelly and Helen Davis of Beaumont, daughter and son-in-law Becky and Melvin Crispen of Nipomo, daughter and son-in-law Gina and Amado Carpio of Lompoc; grandchildren Katie, Tommy, Christina, Daniel, Tony, Joseph, Brianna, Lisa, Karen, Aimee, Timmy, and Andrew; great-grandchildren Faith Faye, Tyler, Cecily and Brittney, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Benita McCoy.
At her request, no services will be held. Cremation will take place with private inurnment. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary.
