Billy Rogers Powers 64 of Lompoc Ca went to be with our Lord surrounded by his family Friday, October 9, 2015 at 12:17pm in Santa Maria, California.

Billy was survived by his son Matthew Powers and his children; wife of his sons Susie Winn, his wife Carol, his father Lowell and stepmom Elizabeth Powers of Nipomo. He is also survived by his brothers Thomas, James and Joe Powers; sisters Carolyn (Jack) Rush and Aimee (Matt) Cunningham. Cousins Mark Powers and Billy Dean Powers. Billy is also survived by numerous other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son Billy Ray Powers; his mother Nellie Elizabeth Brashears and his grandparents.

Billy Rogers was born in Pulaski Tennessee March 11, 1951. Billy moved to Lompoc when he was a teenager. Billy attended and graduated Lompoc High School. He went to some college. Billy worked for Joe Avila in Lompoc at Valley Welding for many years. Billy started his own business Do All Welding and was an Ironworker for 20+ years.

Billy's hobbies included spending time with family and friends and barbequing.

A grave side service is planned for Friday, October 23rd at 10:00 am at the Lompoc Cemetery. Thank you to Starbuck Lind mortuary for the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to Bank of America savings account 3250 2653 2156 Aimee Cunningham. Funds will be used for Billy's headstone and funeral expenses.
