Obituary

Bina May Foy was born on May 1, 1927, to Ernest and Amanda Gore in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She lived there until she met her husband, Clive. They were married 8 August 1946 in their house in Albuquerque, NM. Together they traveled the world while he served in the United States Air Force. As an officer's wife, she enjoyed many exciting adventures beginning in El Paso, Texas; Montgomery, Alabama (where Colleen was born); Casa Blanca, Morocco (where Heidi was born); Riverside, California; Adana, Turkey; and then to Little Rock, Arkansas in 1963 where they lived through their retirement on their ranch outside of Jacksonville. In 2002 they relocated to be close to their youngest, Heidi, in Lompoc, California.

Bina never met a stranger and even moving the last decade of her life, she continued to show the enthusiasm for life that guaranteed that she would never be without friends. She jumped right in to several clubs, and they all wanted her to immediately run for office. Her last week of life was to be her first day to be an usher at her new church. She was full of energy and loved to party. She missed her friends in Arkansas and always talked about returning for the Arkansas State Hospital Auxiliary President's reunion. She was a loving, caring, sensitive person that truly loved people.

Bina was an active member of the Hospital Auxiliary for the Red Cross of Arkansas and President of the Garden Club, Officers Wives Club, Square Dancing, Lady Shiner, Eastern Star, Bridge Club, and the Whispering Pines Traveling Club. She was honored as Woman of the Year for Jacksonville in 1981. Bina and Clive were with the group that organized and started St. Stephen's Episcopal church in Jacksonville, Arkansas.
Bina is survived by her husband Clive, of Lompoc; her daughters and sons-in law, Heidi and Rob Holdsambeck of Lompoc and Colleen and John Moser of Bryan, Texas; four grandchildren, Kirsten Mary Linn and her husband John, Kassandra Holdsambeck, Wes Taylor, and Amanda Jane Holdsambeck; great grandchildren, Abigail Linn and Christopher Holdsambeck; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins all over the country.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 19th, 2008 at 11am at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 2413 North Eastern Ave, Jacksonville, AR 72076. A Celebration of Life will follow in the reception hall.
