Our beloved son, Blake Patrick Warren , passed away peacefully at home with his parents by his side on the morning of February 3, 2021.  His lifelong struggle with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) is now over.  We are eternally grateful to our Heavenly Father for allowing us the privilege of having Blake as a member of our family.

Blake was born in Lompoc, California, on May 24, 1999, and lived his entire life here in this valley.  He attended Los Berros Elementary school and was home schooled by his parents after that.  He enjoyed his time as a Cub Scout and Boy Scout where he earned many awards.  During the summers of 2008-2010, he enjoyed competing in the Junior Wheelchair Sports Camp at UC Santa Barbara.  Blake earned some college credit by completing the Brigham Young University Pathway program online.  He is also a Seminary graduate and an endowed Elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  Blake learned to have great faith in Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ.  He has had many teachers, leaders and friends who have inspired him throughout his life.

Blake was born with a very loving and pleasing personality.  He loved and was very proud of his brothers, cousins and all of his extended family members.  Blake had the heart of a Guardian.  He never gave up and he was always a champion for the downtrodden!  He loved Superheroes, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings and The Mandalorian to name a few!  He read the books, watched the movies, listened to the music and played the video games.  He cherished his time spent playing video games with his friends from LDS Gamers where he was known as "Schmobbit" – a jewel among Hobbits!

Blake is survived by his father, Jeffrey A. Warren, D.D.S. and his mother, Rebecca Ann Burnham Warren.  He is also survived by his brothers, Garrett and Jason (Samantha) and his niece, Hayden and nephew, Link.  He was preceded in death by his brother Tyler in 2016.

There will be a private memorial service for his family at the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery on February 19, 2021 at 1:00 pm.  The Cemetery is located at 600 South C Street, Lompoc, CA 93436.

Later that evening all are invited to a drive-by open house between 4:00 and 6:00 pm in front of the Warren home.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, Blake would prefer that you bake a pie and celebrate by enjoying it with your family.
