Bonnie Charmaine Root, beloved wife of David and devoted mother of Russell, Sarah, Lydia, Bridget and Gordon, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 26, 2016. Bonnie also leaves behind 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She was born on July 2, 1936.
Bonnie is remembered for her love of life, her devotion to family, her dedication to home making, and her delight in the hunt of shopping. Her laughter and her love for singing were contagious. Her family will miss her deeply. We look forward to joining her in her new Heavenly Home when our Lord takes us there. Until then, we dedicate ourselves in honor of this dear woman to embrace life with vigor and enjoy it fully with all it's blessings. One of Bonnie's favorite songs is "Somewhere Over the Rainbow". We believe she now enjoys a fuller life in Heaven that true and wonder-filled place over the rainbow. Vaya con Dios, sweet Bonnie from your loving family.
Visitation hours will be held from 4 to 8 pm Thursday, December 8, 2016 at the chapel of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. Graveside services will be held 1 pm on Friday December 9th at Lompoc Cemetery District. Memorial services will be held 4 pm Saturday, December 10 at Lompoc Foursquare Church (Connections Building).
