Brenda Marie Jeanette, precious daughter, beautiful sister, and special friend to many, went home to be with her Lord on December 4, 2011. Brenda put up a courageous 6 ½ year fight with Ovarian Cancer. She died peacefully with her family at her side at the Serenity House in Santa Barbara. Brenda was born on March 12, 1957 in Montebello, California but spent most of her life in Lompoc. Early on, she attended the Chris Jesperson School for the Hearing Impaired in San Luis Obispo which helped greatly with her daily living. Brenda had the biggest of hearts when it came to family, friends and all animals. Her contagious smile and great sense of humor would light up a room. Her childlike spirit of joy inspired everyone around her, even when her disease was progressing. Our souls have been touched and our hearts blessed beyond measure by her life. Brenda is survived by her father, Ben Jeanette; sisters Carol Mae (Mike) Waite of
Templeton Debra Ann (Gene) Wharton of Magnolia, Delaware; and Pamela (Tom)Stone of Aberdeen, Washington and Brenda's 3 dogs. Nieces and nephews include Holly and Mike Giuliani, Joshua Chippie, and John (Lori) Hughes. She was preceded
in death by her mother, Rosella Jeanette, and grandmothers Mary Jeanette and Anna Mae Lineberger. Services will be held Saturday, December 10th at 3:30 p.m. at the Lompoc Seventh-day Adventist Church, 205 West Chestnut Avenue, with Pastor Joe Mallinson officiating. The Jeanette Family wishes to thank the many doctors and nurses and care givers that helped Brenda through her fight against cancer. A special thanks and memorial donations may be given in her name to the American Cancer Society, Serenity House of Santa Barbara, or the Dream Foundation of Santa Barbara who fulfilled her wish to see Hawaii.
