Obituary
Carli N. Y. Dias of Lompoc went into the arms of Jesus on November 4, 2007, at the age of 27.
Carli was born May 11, 1980 to Howard and Jenny Dias in Rome, New York. She came to Lompoc at an early age and was educated in local schools. She graduated from Cabrillo High School in 2001 and attended Allan Hancock College. She was active in the Village Hills Little League helping in the snack bar and as a volunteer with the Los Barros Elementary School, helping with the book fair and in the classrooms. Her life was a testament to cheerfulness and determination.
Carli is survived by her father Howard Dias, Jr. of Kaneohe, Hawaii; her mother and stepfather, Jenny and David Miller of Lompoc; her sister, Laura Miller of Lompoc; her brothers James and Matthew Miller of Lompoc; her grandmothers, Valkyrie Naeole of Hawaii, Jane Alfonso of Montgomery, Alabama, and Barbara Friar of Lompoc; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. All her family and friends will miss her.
The celebration of her life will be on Thursday, November 8, 2007, at 5 pm in the chapel of the Starbuck-Lind Mortuary, led by Father John Fitzgerald. Cremation will be followed by private inurnment at the Hawaiian Memorial Park in Kaneohe, Hawaii.
Carli's family wishes to thank the citizens of Lompoc and all those who rallied to support her, for their generosity in raising funds for her treatment and kidney transplants, especially the Dialysis Center and the Cabrillo High School Aquarium.
Memorial donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation, 1400 East Church Street, Santa Maria, CA 93454.
