Obituary
Carmen Perez, of Lompoc, died on February 21, 2010, at the Santa Ynez Valley Recovery Residence in Solvang.
Born on November 8, 1916, Carmen moved to Lompoc in 1953. She spent many years as the cook at Café San Martin. She was a member of La Purisma Catholic Church.
Carmen is survived by her daughters Rosemarie DeLaMora and Gloria Vital of Lompoc, 15 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, two sons, and two daughters.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2010, from 4 to 6 PM at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. The vigil will be held at 7 PM at La Purisima Catholic Church. A funeral mass will be held at 11 AM on Friday, February 26, 2010, at La Purisima Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and was loved by many.
The family wishes to express their appreciation and thanks to the staff at the Solvang Lutheran Home for their excellent care of Carmen.
