Obituary

Lompoc native Carmen Scotti died Friday, November 27, 2009 at the age of 76.

Carmen was born March 17, 1933 in Lompoc to Cristino and Josefina Arambula. She graduated from Lompoc High School with the class of 1951.

Carmen managed the Quality Inn in Solvang for many years. In her spare time she enjoyed playing the penny slot machines at the Chumash Casino. She also enjoyed watching basketball and her favorite team the L.A. Lakers.

Carmen was preceded in death by her husband Frank Scotti in 1978. She is survived by her daughters Mary Helen Zepeda of Phoenix, Arizona, and Gloria Nino of Santa Maria, her sons Johnny Campos of Santa Maria and Raymond Herrera of Hesperia, her sister Petra Morales of Bullhead City, her brother Cristino Arambula of Los Angeles, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and her Chihuahua puppies who were special companions to her. Her two sons Joe and Jesse Campos also preceded her in death.

Father Tom Cook will celebrate a memorial mass on Thursday, December 3, 2009 at 10am at La Purisima Catholic Church followed by interment in Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery. Cremation arrangements were made by Starbuck-Lind Mortuary.
