1936-2008
Carol Jean Bratz, age 71 of Lompoc, passed away Friday, June 6, 2008.
Carol was born August 2, 1936, in Cass County, Iowa to John Richard "Dick" and Frances "Nick" Crolley.
A resident of Lompoc for 65 years, Carol was a fulltime homemaker. She was an avid golfer and a member of Village Country Club. Over the years won a number of golf tournaments. She was also a member of the Children's Home Society, the Lompoc High Alumni Association, the Lompoc Historical Society, and the Alpha Club.
Carol is survived by her husband of 54 years Harlan Bratz, her children, Jeff Bratz of Northern California, Mike Bratz and wife Marsha of Colleyville, Texas, and Bobbie Bratz of Santa Barbara, her brother Robert Crolley of Stockton and Hermosillo, Mexico, and her grandson Jesse Bratz Colleyville, Texas.
The visitation will be on Sunday, June 8, 2008 from 5-7 pm at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. The funeral service will be Monday, June 9, 2008 at 2 pm in the Starbuck-Lind Chapel. Interment will follow in the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Carol's family suggests contributions to Marian Hospice at 1400 East Church Street, Santa Maria, CA 93454, the Lompoc Hospital Foundation, P.O Box 883, Lompoc, CA 93436, or a charity of your choice.
