Caroline (Gloria) Meehan
Caroline (Gloria) Meehan, of Lompoc, died Monday, January 11, 2010 at the age of 81.
Gloria was born July 12, 1928, in New Jersey to Dominico and Antoinette Rossi. Raised in Union City, New Jersey, she graduated from Emerson High School in 1946. She married John (Jack) Meehan on December 11, 1948, in Union City and then settled in Lompoc in 1968.
Gloria was the classic Italian homemaker, mother, and was an excellent Italian cook. She loved the time she spent in her kitchen. She also enjoyed gardening, reading, and spending time with her children and many grandchildren. For a long period of her life she was an avid bingo player. She had several pets during her life, most recently she loved her dog Dolly.
Gloria is survived by her children: daughters Kathleen Hildenbrand, Joan Warner, Barbara Gibson, and Patricia Cobb, and sons Michael Meehan, Steven Meehan, and Timothy Meehan. She is also survived by her 18 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Jack, in 1995.
