Carolyn M. Grames was born February 5, 1940, in Wewoka, Oklahoma, to Orland and Opal Carr. She met and married Douglas Grames in October 1956. She worked for Rasmussen's in Solvang for many years in the Yarn and Fabric Department. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She was a member of the Quilters Guild for several years and enjoyed making quilts. She also enjoyed going to the Casino to play Bingo on a regular basis. She passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 7, 2015, at her home in Lompoc, CA.
She is survived by her son Douglas Grames, Jr., daughter Tina Grames, and five grandchildren Michael Dufour, Jr., Brett Wilhite, Chris Wilhite, and Derek Dixon, all residents of Lompoc, CA, and Angela Styers of Colorado, six great grandchildren, Alana Apodaca, Alexia Wilhite, Jade, Derek and Johnny Dixon and Debra Dufour, all of Lompoc, CA, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Orland and Opal Carr, sister Joyce Johnson, brother Carl Carr, and daughter Debra Grames–Merriman.
Graveside services will be held at the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery on Friday, December 18, 2015, at 9:30 am.
