Catherine E. Reeves (Katie) was born on Dec. 7, 1931 in the state of California.  She was always happy to remind everyone that her birth date was the same as the Anniversary date of the historic event of Pearl Harbor, Dec. 7, 1941.  Due to declining health Katie passed on Nov. 24, 2018 here in Lompoc.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Scott Reeves and Dorothy Pigott Reeves, her grandmothers, Callie McQueen Reeves and Lydia Lewis, and her Brother, Francis Reeves.  She is survived by several cousins; Judy Adams, Edgar Reeves, Bernice Nicastro and Joyce King all of Texas, and several good friends and neighbors.

Katie lived most of her life in the Los Angeles area, moving to Lompoc in 1995 to be closer to her brother, Francis (Buss).  She was an Insurance Underwriter in L.A. for over 30 years prior to her retirement.  Katie was very generous with her time here in Lompoc and volunteered at the Food Pantry and Feeding the Homeless at the weekly Friday night dinners at La Purisima Church until her health earlier this year prevented her from doing so.

There will be no visitation, but a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at La Purisima Catholic Church, 213 W. Olive, Lompoc, Ca. on Monday, Dec. 3 ^rd , at 8 a.m. followed by a grave side service at the Lompoc Cemetery located at 600 S. "C" St., Lompoc, Ca.
