Cathleen Jo Corser, or "Cathy" to her family and friends, passed away on November 16, 2024 at the age of 74. Cathy was born in Delano, California. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Robert (Bob) Corser; daughter Aimee and husband Daniel Moyers; grandsons Cameron and Tanner Moyers; sister Kitty and husband Ron Woods; niece Janet and husband Larry Dye; brother-in-law Bobbye Walthall; along with many extended family members who will miss her warm and giving spirit.

Cathy spent her childhood years living on her family's farm in McFarland, California where she enjoyed spending time with her two older sisters and animals. In her early adult years, she moved with her parents to Lompoc and attended college at the University of California Santa Barbara where she graduated with a degree in political science. Cathy found her true passion to be helping children, and she spent many years working for Santa Barbara County schools as a special education teacher. She met her husband, Bob, in Lompoc, on a blind date and in their younger years, the two of them enjoyed going on motorcycle rides together and taking trips to Vegas to see shows such as Cher, John Legend and tapings of the talk show LIVE with Kelly & Mark, to name a few. Cathy was a 40+ year viewer of the soap opera "The Young & The Restless" and loved following the saga of supercouple soap stars Victor and Nikki Newman. In her later years she lived life for her grandsons and loved spending holidays together.

Cathy was preceded in death by her parents Prentice and Kathryn Smith and sister Wilma Walthall, nephew Jerry Woods, along with mother-in-law Janet (Jan) and father-in-law Karl Corser.

Funeral services to celebrate Cathy's life will be held on Tuesday, November 26th. There will be a viewing at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary at 123 North A Street in Lompoc at 1pm followed by a graveside service at 2pm at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery at 600 South C Street. A reception with light refreshments will follow the graveside service at Events Mission Valley 138 North B Street. The family invites friends and loved ones to join them in honoring her memory.
