Obituary

Charles, "Pop" went to be with our Lord on October 27, 2015. He was a longtime Lompoc resident. Charles was born to Kirby and Irene Bowser in Lenora, OK on May 3, 1932.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Stephanie Raine and grandson, Ryan Jeffers. Pop is survived by his wife of 63 years, Barbara along with his daughter Debbie (Pete) and sons Mark (Renee) and John (Tina). He has eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

He always enjoyed his many friendships. Charles cherished spending time with his family. For 48 years, he attended the annual Bowser Family Reunion in Cambria, CA. He had many hobbies including bowling, deer hunting, RV camping and playing horse shoes. Pop was known as the Master of the BBQ helping with fundraisers at the Elks, Manville and for many local sports teams.

Charles was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He served in the US Navy for four years and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a dedicated foreman at Johns Manville Corporation for 34 years.

Services will be held at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary on Saturday October 31, 2015. Viewing at 10:00 am, service 11:00 am, burial at Oak Hill Cemetery in Ballard followed by a Santa Maria style BBQ at his home.
