Charles Isaac Farnum was born to David and Hollie Farnum on June 25, 1959, in Marysville, California. He united with the First Presbyterian Church in Lompoc at an early age.
While attending Lompoc High School, Charles lettered in basketball. After graduation he worked at John Manville Company. He later moved to Riverside to work at K&H Metal Supply Company and provided care for his older brother David. In recent years Charles assisted with the care of his mother Hollie Farnum.
Charles served as a youth basketball coach at the Lompoc Valley Boys and Girls Club. He was resourceful in life and considered himself an entrepreneur by often making something out of nothing. His favorite pastime included shooting pool, playing poker, bicycle riding, grilling, watching basketball, and spending time with family and friends.
Charles had one son, Jeremy Farnum.
As Charles joins his mother, older brother and father, he will be missed by all of those who loved and cared about him.
A memorial service will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, October 26, 2013 at First Presbyterian Church of Lompoc, 1600 Berkeley Drive. Inurnment will follow at the Lompoc Cemetery.
